Christopher K. Meehan , DDS 

Dr. Christopher Meehan has been practicing at Mankato Family Dental since 2009. He grew up in South Dakota and went on to play football at the University of South Dakota where he graduated with honors with a BS degree in Biology.


Subsequently, he attended Creighton University Dental School in Omaha, NE where he earned his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Meehan is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.


Treating the entire family with an emphasis on preventive dentistry is Dr. Meehan's passion. He enjoys the variety in general practice with a special interest in implant restorations and Invisalign. Dr. Meehan believes in being a lifelong learner and is regularly involved in continuing education courses to enhance his skills and knowledge within dentistry.


Dr. Meehan, along with his wife, Tami and three kids live in North Mankato. They enjoy the recreation that Minnesota has to offer every season of the year, including hiking, biking, running, skiing, snowshoeing and playing recreational sports. Dr. Meehan shares a special interest in the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, which may have contributed to his moving to Mankato.


Christina M. Sorensen, DMD

Dr. Christina Sorensen grew up in Worthington, MN. She is a graduate of the A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, Mesa, AZ. Dr. Sorensen also practiced in St Louis Park, MN for 2 years. 


Dr. Sorensen has exceptional clinical skill and wonderful chairside manner. She cares deeply about her work and her patients and will continue to provide the highest quality of dentistry. 


In her spare time, Dr. Sorensen enjoys spending time with family and friends, weekends at her family cabin and getting outside for a run.


Cleo Cheney, DDS


Dr. Cleo Cheney grew up outside of Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois. She attended dental school at the University of Iowa and completed a one-year General Practice Residency with the Veteran’s Affair Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. She previously practiced in Salt Lake City and the Chicagoland areas. 
 
 She has trained in advanced endodontics, oral surgery, dental implant placement, and prosthodontics. She is certified in Botox and dermal filler placement through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She is also certified in Invisalign. 

 In her spare time, Dr. Cheney and her husband Cole love skiing, rock climbing, and biking. A new family member (4-month-old son Calvin) greatly impairs their ability to pursue these interests.
 
 Dr. Cheney is excited to meet you and provide you with excellent oral health!

Haley Thomas ADT,  RDH

Haley is an Advanced Dental Therapist that was added to our team in 2022. Haley is a mid-level provider that specializes in fillings. Haley is a multi-use practitioner able to provide preventative and restorative care. Therefore, you may have her for a cleaning or exam as well. 


Haley attended Minnesota State University, Mankato and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2017. After attending dental hygiene school Haley decided she wanted to further her education. Haley earned a Masters of Science Degree in Advanced Dental Therapy from Metropolitan State University in 2018. 


Haley and her husband grew up and currently reside in Madelia, MN. They adopted a boxer dog named Penny. In Haley’s free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Outside of work Haley enjoys watching Minnesota sports teams, golfing, attending concerts, or heading to the cabin.


Before joining our practice, Haley was working in public health dentistry. Haley chose a career in dentistry for her passion of helping others. Additionally, a career that requires lifelong learning by attending continuing education courses and researching new products. She recognizes the important connection between the health of your mouth and the health of your body. Haley enjoys working with all patients at Mankato Family Dental and tries her best to make your experience as comfortable as possible!
